First Time Live! CD
By The Dillards
Extremely rare CD!
Before the Darling Boys ever thought of getting "back on the truck" and even before The Dillards themselves headed to California and eventually Mayberry, they recorded some of their favorite songs back in Missouri. For nearly 40 years, these first concert recordings by The Dillards have been in protected storage (well, O.K., Doug stumbled across them one day while poking around in a closet).
Anyway these earliest Dillards recordings, including "Banjo in the Hollow" heard on TAGS, have never before been released. Not only that, but some are songs that The Dillards never recorded on later albums. In short, this historic collection is a gold mine of original Dillards music. There are 16 songs in all, including favorites "Katie Cline," "John Hardy," "Old Blue," "Ground Hog," "Green Corn," "Cripple Creek," "Watermelon on the Vine," "Little Maggie," "Whitehouse Blues" and seven more great tunes from The Dillards at near their earliest days together as a group. It's larrapin'!
